In this session, we will delve into the world of hemotropic microorganisms. Organisms discussed will include those that cause disease in dogs and cats. We will review clinical presentation, relevant CBC abnormalities, and morphologic appearance. Additionally, artifacts and “pseudo-parasites” that are commonly confused with infectious organisms will be reviewed.
