Maximizing Comfort- Regional Anesthetic Techniques for the Dental Patient
Available for RACE Approved CE credit if watched from 11:00am-11:50am CST on Thursday, May 12, 2022.
It’s all too common that our veterinary patients present with chronic sources of oral pain, whether it be broken teeth or severe attachment loss, the chronicity predisposes the development of windup pain which not only complicates our abilities to maintain the patient under general anesthesia, but also can complicate transition to medications post procedure. During this session we will review how to extend the duration of activity for local block drugs, identify landmarks for accurate delivery and discuss situations where regional anesthesia may not be desirable.
