Rational antimicrobial therapy – choosing the right drug for the right reason

Antimicrobial resistance is a very real threat to modern medical and veterinary healthcare. It is a one-health problem - humans and animals are exposed to similar drugs, bacterial and resistance genes. This lecture will explore the nature of this threat and how we must preserve the efficacy of these drugs for the future. This will include practical advice on responsible antimicrobial use.
