Kara Burns

MS, MEd, LVT, VTS (Nutrition), is a licensed veterinary technician with a master’s degree in physiology and in counseling psychology. She is the Founder of the Academy of Veterinary Nutrition Technicians and teaches nutrition around the world. 

Jason Pieper

DACVD, obtained his DVM from Iowa State University and his MS in 2011 and started his Dermatology Residency at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He became a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Dermatology in 2015 and is a Clinical Assistant Professor.

Saki Kadotani

DACVIM (Cardiology), completed a small animal medicine & surgery internship at The Ohio State University & a cardiology residency at University of Illinois. She became a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (Cardiology) in 2019. Dr. Kadotani is a clinical assistant professor at University of Illinois.

Christopher Snyder

DVM, DAVDC, is a Diplomat of the American Veterinary Dental College & Clinical Associate Professor and Residency Director of the Dentistry & Oral Surgery Service at the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Veterinary Medicine. He is recognized as a Founding Fellow, AVDC Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. 

Kelley Thieman

DVM, MS, DACVS-SA, is a soft tissue surgeon at Texas A&M University College of Veterinary Medicine. Kelley has presented and published articles on a variety of soft tissue surgery topics. She enjoys teaching, and regularly instructs in courses and laboratories.

John Nielsen

CVT, VTS (ECC, Physical Rehabilitation), CVPP, CCRP has a wide variety of experience includes practicing and teaching at the University of Minnesota Veterinary Teaching Hospital, working in small animal and exotic general practice, and working in emergency and specialty medicine. 

Kathryn Fleming

DVM, PhD, DACVO, completed a combined ophthalmology residency & PhD program at Oklahoma State University, with a research emphasis on fungal keratitis in the horse. She became an assistant professor at the University of Illinois & is a diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Ophthalmologists.

Scott Weese

DVM DVSc DACVIM, is a veterinary internist & a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine. He is a Professor at the Ontario Veterinary College, University of Guelph, Director of the University of Guelph Centre for Public Health & Zoonoses, & Chief of Infection Control at the Ontario Veterinary College Teaching Hospital.

Amy Pike

DVM, DACVB, was commissioned as a Captain into the Army Veterinary Corps where taking care of the Military Working Dogs returning from deployment spurred her interests in behavior medicine. Dr. Pike is owner of the Animal Behavior Wellness Center & is a member of the Fear Free Advisory Committee.
