New York Vet 2024 Celebrated Veterinary Community and Innovation in the Heart of the Big Apple!
)
On November 7–8, 2024, the Jacob Javits Convention Center opened its doors to 2,300 veterinary professionals attending New York Vet 2024. The event delivered a spectacular experience, showcasing a 21% increase in attendance from 2023. With 52% of delegates attending for the first time, the exhibition floor was bursting with energy and was the epicenter of exciting product launches alongside cutting-edge content across its eight theaters.
The excitement started early this year, kicking off on November 6 with the Career Fair. This pre-event initiative featured dedicated speed networking sessions, three 30-minute talks from leading sponsors, and invaluable opportunities for connecting top talent with employers.
For many delegates, the standout highlight was the cutting-edge conference program, featuring clinical content curated by Clinician’s Brief. The program included sessions from renowned speakers such as Anna Gelzer on cardiology, Mariana Crumley on anesthesia, Mariana Pardo on emergency medicine, and Anthony Pease on imaging.
Veterinary technicians appreciated the specialized content in the dedicated theater, curated by NAVTA and Veterinary Practice News. Attendees praised the level of speakers and sessions:
""New York Vet is a haven for the best CE lectures I've ever attended. Every speaker was informative, well-spoken and so personable, it felt like we were coworkers. It just gets better each year”, said Akankaye Waul, Licensed Veterinary Technologist at ASPCA.
Maureen McNulty, Veterinarian at Forlorn Hope added, “The breadth of subjects and expertise of the speakers draws me back to NY Vet. I really feel like my knowledge is refreshed and updated.”
The Business & Operations Theater spotlighted inspiring practice owners, trailblazers in veterinary innovation and recruitment specialists, creating a platform for meaningful conversations about all stages of running a successful practice.
Exclusive opportunities were another highlight of the event. One lucky attendee won a trip to Malawi with the World Veterinary Service (WVS), while others had a chance of winning tickets to New York Vet 2025 in the Social Competition!
Stacey Cilenti, Veterinarian at Bayport Veterinary Hospital added, “New York Vet is so awesome! A wonderful way to earn CE credits, learn about new topics in vet med AND have a great time all rolled into two fast-paced days of fun — highly recommend it and can’t wait for next year!”
A vibrant atmosphere that provided exceptional networking opportunities was another standout feature this year, from the show floor mixer to spontaneous connections made at the pickleball court, or while enjoying the DJ’s energetic beats, which kept attendees engaged and ready for the happy hour festivities.
With 80% of the 2024 exhibitors already rebooked for 2025, the event’s momentum is undeniable. Joe Kowalsky, Event Director of New York Vet commented on the success “It was exciting not only to see how many people were satisfied with the event but also that many were increasing their footprint in anticipation of our continuously growing audience, with the largest increases among veterinarians and practice owners.”
“Over the past two years, we’ve worked as a team to make NY Vet a hub of community for veterinary professionals in the Northeast and beyond. In 2025, we’ll build on this incredible momentum and aim to make NY Vet a must-attend event for everyone in our industry. We’ve got something special happening, and our team has embraced a mantra of swinging big and going for it all,” Kowalsky said.
