Acute Hemorrhagic Diarrhea Syndrome

This lecture will cover the etiology and clinical presentation of acute hemorrhagic diarrhea syndrome (formerly referred to as hemorrhagic gastroenteritis- HGE) in dogs. It will focus on the diagnostic workup plan and subsequently delve into management of these patients with an emphasis on resuscitation and fluid therapy, rational antimicrobial usage, and supportive care.
