Gastrointestinal emergencies are some of the most frequently seen cases presented to the emergency room. Vomiting and diarrhea has a plethora of rule outs and some of these may be very benign and simple to manage while others may be life-threatening.
Learning to recognize patient stability by using simple tools in your practice and knowing when and how to quickly intervene, may mean the difference between life and death for some of these patients.
