The one constant I see in all successful veterinary hospitals is the ability to serve clients well – not practice the best gold standard of medicine because no client judges us on medicine. 99% of them are not medically trained. Some of them won’t even know if their dog is male or female. Veterinary medicine is primarily a HUMAN service business and veterinary medicine is merely the product we sell. We have to start with hospitality before we can practice our craft.
