Identification of neoplastic cells is a critical component of microscopic evaluation of cavity effusions. However, this can be a challenge for a number of reasons, including poor tumor exfoliation and confidently differentiating non-neoplastic cells from neoplastic cells. In this session, we will use a case-based approach to discuss the various types of neoplastic effusions in dogs and cats.
