Available for RACE approved CE credit if watched from 4:10PM-5:00PM PST on Friday, October 8, 2021.

Meningitis or encephalitis are common causes of neurologic impairment or spinal pain in dogs and cats. Inflammatory CNS disease may be infectious or idiopathic in origin. The prevalence of infectious meningoencephalitis varies regionally and has viral, protozoal, parasitic, fungal, Rickettsial and bacterial etiologies. Several idiopathic inflammatory conditions (GME, necrotizing encephalitis, steroid responsive meningitis-arteritis) are seen in dogs and occasionally cats and the underlying etiology is thought to be autoimmune. A syndromic approach to the diagnosis of these diseases will be presented along with therapy
