Anesthetic Myths and Misconceptions

Why do we think that the tongue needs to be wet for the SPO2 to work? Why is it hard to speak up sometimes? This talk will highlight and dispel the myths and misconceptions that are pervasive in veterinary medicine and veterinary culture. For example, why do we think that the tongue needs to be wet for the SPO2 to work? Why is it hard to speak up sometimes? In their current state, these myths and misconceptions can prevent innovation and advancement. We will address each myth, understand the origin, and use data and evidence to support the reasons for leaving these myths and misconceptions in the past.
